December 16 2019: An excerpt from Akira Kurosawa... will be performed in the inaugural Strong & Wrong Festival in Williamsburg, NYC.
December 13 2019: Meet Murasaki Shikibu... will have a free staged reading in Arlington, VA as part of Avant Bard Theatre's Scripts in Play Series.
Oct 7 2019: miku, and the gods. has a staged reading at San Francisco Playhouse.
August 15-17 2019: Julia had a development process of one of her latest plays at Williamstown Theatre Festival.
July 27-August 4 2019: miku, and the gods. was part of the NNPN/Kennedy Center MFA Playwrights' Workshop.
July 2019: Julia joined some of her fellow KCACTF Michael Kanin Playwriting Award winners on a residency at SPACE on Ryder Farm. Check out all the 2019 Residents here.

May 2019: miku, and the gods. was a Finalist for the O'Neill National Playwrights Conference
April 16-20 2019: Julia attended KCACTF because miku, and the gods. won the Darrell Ayers Playwriting Award and was a runner-up for the Paul Stephen Lim Award!
February 8-10 2019: Akira Kurosawa Explains His Movies and Yogurt (with Live & Active Cultures!), had a workshop as a part of Brown University's Writing is Live Festival. More info here.
December 2018: Julia was a semi-finalist for the 2018 Clubbed Thumb Commission!
October 22 2018: Julia collaborated with Trinity Rep and D.A.R.E. to create pieces on Providence's rapidly gentrifying neighborhoods alongside other local playwrights! Readings will begin at 7:00pm and tickets are free. More info here.
